After He served as an officer of the Italian Army, in 1987 he got his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”, with a dissertation on Vibrations Induced by Friction.In 1993, after he got his Ph.D.at the University of Pisa started with his academic carrier as Tenure track researcher in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Naples, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Salerno, Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Salerno, where he hasbeen teaching Machine Dynamics, Mechanical Vibrations, and Dynamics and Control of Mechanical Systems.He is Dean of the International Master in Innovation Management, at the University Catholic of Colombia, Bogotà; Lifetime Member of the Ukrainian Technological Academy; Permanent Visiting professor at the Catholic University of Colombia; Member of the Scientific Board of the CUGRI (University Consortium for Natural or Industrial Disasters Prevention); Director of ITACOL, International University Center; Expert for the Italian Industry Ministry for evaluating industrial projects; CEO of MEID4 Ltd, Academic Spin-Off of the University of Salerno; Principal coordinator of national research Projects (PRIN); Author of more hundred scientific papers on Machine Dynamics, Mechatronics, Tribology, Hydrodynamic Lubrication, Multibody Dynamics, Control Systems and Unmanned Ground Vehicles; Member AIMETA, ASME, SEM.From 2010, he is the principal investigator of collaborative industrial projects in the fields of Robotics,Aeronautical and Aerospace Applications.
